Dr. Patrice Johnson was appointed as the superintendent of Jordan School District effective June 1, 2011. Dr. Johnson previously served as an associate superintendent in the Clark County School District in the Las Vegas, Nevada area. Her more than three decades in education span a diverse spectrum including elementary teacher, postsecondary teacher at Chapman College and the University of Nevada, principal, and assistant superintendent of curriculum and professional development.
A noted leader in instructional leadership and school administration, Dr. Johnson has demonstrated strengths in building consensus and unifying stakeholders, as well as curriculum alignment/assessment and the increasing of student achievement.
Dr. Johnson completed her undergraduate degree at Brigham Young University, holds a master’s degree from Fresno Pacific College, and a doctorate degree in curriculum and public school administration from the University of Southern California.
